Medical Needs Assessment (MNA)
A structured assessment that guides recommended staffing levels, clinical skill mix,
equipment and facilities.
ScoutMed provides friendly, professional medical cover for Scout and community events.
We work with organisers from first enquiry to post-event debrief, helping
you deliver a safe, well-supported event with the right level of medical provision.
Every event is different. We use a proportionate planning approach so medical cover matches
your event’s size, activities and risks. We’ll work with you to understand your event,
review site and programme risks, and agree communication and escalation arrangements.
A structured assessment that guides recommended staffing levels, clinical skill mix,
equipment and facilities.
A clear plan for day-to-day medical operations and incident escalation.
For smaller events this may be a generic plan; larger or higher-risk events
receive a detailed event-specific plan.
This helps us build a practical and proportionate medical model for your event.
For larger events (for example jamborees or multi-day camps), ScoutMed may request:
a marquee or suitable structure for the medical centre, a dedicated toilet for ScoutMed team members,
a separate toilet and shower for potentially infectious patients, and access to stretcher-capable
on-site transport (e.g., suitable buggy/utility vehicle).
Our aim is to be a supportive partner to your event team—clear, responsive and easy to work with.
After your initial enquiry, we’ll guide you through the next steps and confirm the information
needed to progress planning.
